Joining Bill today was Julia Cook, and we talked about safety issues and the ever increasing problems that our kids face… in today’s digital world! Listen to this fantastic interview below:
Julia Cook was born and raised in Salt Lake City Utah. While living in Utah, she became actively involved in teaching children how to ski. That experience led to a love of teaching in general.
Julia now lives in Fremont, Nebraska. She has a Master’s degree in Elementary School Counseling. While serving as a guidance counselor, Julia often used children’s books to enhance her classroom lessons. She is now nationally recognized as an award-winning children’s book author and parenting expert.
Julia is a national award winning children’s author, former counselor, and parenting expert. She has presented in over 800 schools across the country, regularly delivers keynote addresses at national education and counseling conferences, and has 41 published children’s books.
The goal behind all of Julia’s books and efforts is to actively involve young people into her fun and creative stories and teach them to become life-long problem solvers. Inspirations for her books come from working with children and carefully listening to parents and teachers.

KOKS Final Thought 4 2day
There are three things that I value in my life, and those are my faith family & freedom. Without those 3 things, I feel like, what is the purpose in living. I think Common Core affects all 3 of those things and that is why I have the passion and desire to fight this is to protect my faith, my family & equally important is our freedom in America.
Governor Rick Perry of Texas who rejected Common Core because of what it would do to their freedoms as a state as well as the cost, said it would be foolish and irresponsible to place our children’s future in the hands of unelected bureaucrats and special interest groups thousands of miles away in Washington, virtually eliminating parents participation in their children’s education.
